Housed in a 43mm round stainless steel case, the Aviator 8 Chronograph opens through a cambered sapphire crystal that is glare-proofed on both sides. The black dial is laid out with Arabic numerals and triangle hour markers, all luminous-filled, alongside a fine-printed minutes, seconds, and fraction-of-a-second track. A non-screw-locked crown with two gaskets and stainless steel pushers control the chronograph functions, while a date and day window sits at the 3 o'clock position.
The chronograph architecture places a large central seconds hand — capable of measuring to a quarter of a second — at the centre, with a 30-minute counter sub-dial at 12 o'clock, a 12-hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock, and a small running seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. A bidirectional rotatable stainless steel bezel completes the professional instrument layout. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres / 330 feet.
Power comes from the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 13 automatic movement, fitted with 25 jewels and offering an approximate 48-hour power reserve. The watch is worn on a stainless steel bracelet secured by a folding clasp with safety latch, and is accompanied by the original Breitling papers and Breitling warranty.
