The black dial features applied index hour markers and luminous-filled hands, while a cambered sapphire crystal glare-proofed on both sides keeps the view clear from every angle. A date window sits at the 6 o'clock position, and the pull/push crown operates a solid case back sealed with two gaskets for water resistance to 30m/99ft.
The stainless steel bidirectional rotating bezel with its beaded construction is central to the Navitimer's identity, and here it complements the steel case in characteristic fashion. Power comes from Breitling Calibre 17, a COSC-certified automatic movement housing 25 jewels with an approximate power reserve of 40 hours.
