Sized at 46mm in stainless steel, this Navitimer Chronograph GMT 46 carries a silver dial dressed with applied index hour markers featuring luminous-filled tips, along with luminous-filled hour and minute hands. A convex sapphire crystal — glare-proofed on both sides — sits above the dial, while a solid case back engraved with world time-zone city names closes the watch. The bidirectional rotatable stainless steel bezel houses the iconic slide-rule navigation computer, enabling airborne calculations such as fuel consumption, climb times, and unit conversions between miles, nautical miles, and kilometers.
The dial's chronograph architecture includes a large central chronograph seconds hand, a 30-minute counter sub-dial at 12 o'clock, a 12-hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. GMT functionality is delivered through a red arrowhead-tipped hand that completes one full revolution every 24 hours, pointing to gold-toned 24-hour indications printed around the dial perimeter — Arabic numerals mark the even hours, bold indexes the odd hours, and lighter indexes the half-hour positions. A date window appears between the 3 o'clock sub-dial and the case edge.
Power comes from the Breitling Caliber 24, a COSC-certified automatic movement housing 25 jewels with an approximate 42-hour power reserve. The watch is presented on a brown alligator/crocodile leather strap with pattern and white stitching, secured by a tang buckle clasp, and is water resistant to 30m/100ft. This example is unworn with protective plastics removed and includes the original Breitling box and papers, backed by a Breitling warranty.
