At 48mm in stainless steel, the Navitimer B04 Chronograph GMT 48 makes an immediate impression. The mercury silver main dial is arranged with stepped-down silver sub-dials carrying a fine concentric circle texture, a silver dial flange, and applied index hour markers with luminous-filled tips. A fine printed minutes, seconds, and fraction-of-a-second track rings the perimeter, while luminous-filled hour and minute hands ensure legibility in varied lighting. A convex sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides, protects the dial.
The chronograph layout places a large central red seconds hand at the center — capable of measuring to a quarter of a second — supported by a 30-minute sub-dial counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock. A small running seconds sub-dial sits at 9 o'clock, and a date window appears between 4 and 5 o'clock. The GMT complication is indicated by an additional red arrowhead-tipped hour hand that completes one full revolution every 24 hours, tracking a second time zone independently of the main hour hand. A transparent case back and push-pull crown complete the case details. Water resistance is rated to 30m/99ft.
The watch is worn on a brown alligator/crocodile leather strap secured by a tang buckle, and is driven by an automatic movement. This example is presented with the original Breitling watch box and Breitling papers, and carries a Breitling warranty. Made in Switzerland, reference AB0441211G1P1.
