The Aviator Super 8 B20 draws its lineage from the reference 637 stopwatch that WWII bomber pilots once strapped to their thighs — a piece of functional aviation history translated into a bold 46mm stainless steel wristwatch. The black dial features luminous Arabic numeral and triangle hour markers, a fine printed minutes, seconds, and fraction-of-a-second track, and polished stainless steel hour and minute hands alongside a white seconds hand. A cambered sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides, protects the display.
The bidirectional rotating stainless steel bezel features a fluted coin edge and a red triangular pointer for tracking elapsed time. Inside, an automatic movement — Breitling caliber B20, based on the Tudor caliber MT5612 — runs on 28 jewels with an approximate power reserve of 70 hours. A screw-locked crown with two gaskets contributes to water resistance rated at 100m/330ft.
The watch is presented on a brown calfskin leather strap secured by a tang buckle, and ships complete with its original Breitling box and Breitling papers.
