At 44mm, the Chronomat 44 makes a confident statement through its combination of stainless steel and 18k rose gold. The golden sun dial features luminescent applied index hour markers in 18k rose gold alongside polished 18k rose gold hands with luminescent fill. A date display sits between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions, while a cambered sapphire crystal with glare-proof treatment on both sides protects the dial. The solid case back and non-screw-locked crown with two gaskets contribute to a water resistance rating of 500 m (1,650 ft).
The chronograph layout places a large central seconds hand at the center, a 30-minute counter sub-dial at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, rounded out by a tachymeter scale. The 18k Everose Gold unidirectional rotatable bezel, graduated 0–60 and ratcheted, adds both function and warm color contrast to the case.
