Housed in a 43mm stainless steel and 18K red gold case, this Navitimer B01 Chronograph immediately draws attention with its anthracite dial dressed in red gold-toned hour markers and hands, both featuring luminous fill for low-light legibility. A cambered sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides, protects the dial, while a transparent case back offers a view of the movement within. The crown is secured by two gaskets and the water resistance extends to 30m/99ft.
The dial layout stays true to the Navitimer's aviation heritage: a small running seconds sub-dial sits at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter appears at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter occupies the 6 o'clock position. A large central red chronograph seconds hand tracks elapsed time to the nearest quarter-second, while a date window falls between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The 18K red gold slide-rule bezel rotates bi-directionally and functions as a navigation computer, allowing calculations of fuel consumption, climb times, and conversions between miles, nautical miles, and kilometers.
Power comes from the automatic Breitling caliber B01, fitted with 47 jewels and offering an approximate 70-hour power reserve. The watch is presented on a black alligator/crocodile leather strap fastened by a push-button deployant buckle, and it is accompanied by the original Breitling watch box and Breitling papers.
