Reference VB50106A1O1S1 carries its story on the screwed titanium case back, which is engraved with the Orbiter 3 balloon superimposed on a globe and encircled by the inscription "FIRST NON-STOP FLIGHT AROUND THE WORLD – 20TH ANNIVERSARY – ETANCHE 100 M" along with the individual limited-edition number. The 46mm case is crafted from DLC-coated titanium and fitted with a convex sapphire crystal that is glare-proofed on both sides, while the bidirectional-turning bezel in DLC-coated titanium features a compass scale. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
The orange dial combines analog and digital readouts. Hour and minute hands carry luminous fill, and the hour hand is partially skeletonized. Applied polished-steel Arabic numerals mark 3, 6, and 9, while the remaining hour positions use luminous-painted Arabic numerals. Powering the watch is a COSC-certified thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement with a customized lithium-ion rechargeable battery that charges via a magnetic connector port at the 9 o'clock position on the case edge.
The function set is built for the cockpit: chronograph, digital perpetual calendar, electronic tachometer, two daily alarms, GMT and second time-zone display, 12- or 24-hour digital time format, countdown to mission start, count-up elapsed time, take-off/landing and flight time log, and high-intensity LCD backlights that switch on automatically when the watch reaches a 35° tilt angle, plus a battery end-of-life indicator. The watch is worn on an orange rubber strap secured by a push-button deployant buckle, and is presented with its original Breitling box and papers.
