Housed in a 46mm DLC-coated titanium case, the Exospace B55 wears its professional intent openly. The black "Volcano" dial layers large applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock with luminous-filled hands and smaller luminous Arabic numerals at the remaining hour positions. A sapphire crystal glare-proofed on both sides protects the display, while a brushed bi-directional rotating bezel carries a compass scale around the perimeter.
The movement is a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz caliber driving an extensive suite of complications: a digital perpetual calendar, a flyback chronograph capable of measuring to 1/100th of a second with a maximum duration of 99:59:59 hours, an electronic tachymeter, seven daily alarms, GMT/second time-zone display, and selectable 12 or 24-hour digital readout. Additional functionality includes mission elapsed time with countdown and count-up, a take-off/landing and flight time log, high-intensity LCD backlights with automatic activation at a 35° tilt angle, a battery end-of-life indicator, and Bluetooth Low Energy pairing with a smartphone for data transfer, remote time and date setting, and phone call notifications.
The watch is presented on a rubber Twin Pro strap secured by a push-button deployant buckle, with water resistance rated to 100m/330ft. Reference VB5510H2/BE45 is Swiss-made and comes accompanied by the original Breitling box and Breitling papers.
