At its core, the Avenger Hurricane 12H is defined by its remarkable Breitlight case — a high-tech polymer charged with composite fibers for strength and rigidity — measuring a commanding 50mm across. The volcano black dial features large luminous-filled Arabic numerals, a printed white minute track, and matte grey hands for the hours and minutes, also luminous-filled. A convex sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides, sits above the dial, while a screw-down crown with a non-slip grip ensures a secure seal to 100m/330ft water resistance.
Chronograph functions are laid out across multiple sub-dials: a large central seconds counter with a yellow tip, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. The date appears in a window between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The unidirectional rotating bezel carries engraved Arabic numerals and index markings with aged luminous at the starting point. Power comes from an automatic movement — Breitling's in-house Caliber B01, housing 47 jewels and offering an approximate 70-hour power reserve.
The watch is presented on an anthracite military fabric strap with stitching, secured by a tang buckle. Reference XB0170E41B1W1 is Swiss-made and is offered with the original Breitling watch box and Breitling papers.
