Breitlight — Breitling's proprietary ultralight polymer charged with composite fibers — forms the 50mm case of this Avenger Hurricane. The material is over three times lighter than titanium and nearly six times lighter than steel, giving the watch remarkable presence without the weight. A convex sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides, protects the dial, while a screw-down crown with a non-slip grip and 100m/330ft water resistance round out the case's practical credentials.
The volcano black dial is arranged around a 24-hour military display in which the hour hand completes one full rotation every 24 hours. Large luminous-painted stenciled Arabic numerals — evoking markings found on aircraft carrier decks — populate the dial alongside index hour markers and a printed white minute, seconds, and fractions-of-a-second track. A date window sits between 9 and 10 o'clock, a small seconds sub-dial occupies the 9 o'clock position, and the chronograph layout places a large red-tipped central seconds counter alongside a 30-minute sub-dial at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. The unidirectional rotating bezel carries engraved Arabic numerals, index markings, and aged luminous at the starting point.
Power comes from the Breitling in-house Caliber B01 automatic movement, housing 47 jewels and offering an approximate 70-hour power reserve. The watch is presented on an anthracite military fabric strap with stitching, secured by a tang buckle, and is accompanied by the original Breitling box and Breitling papers.
