Powered by the mechanical manually wound Caliber R TO 27 QR SID LU CL, the 6002G-010 presents an extraordinary array of complications across both sides of its movement. The front displays a perpetual calendar with a retrograde date hand, hours and minutes of mean solar time, day, month, and leap year in apertures, and moon phases. Turn the watch over and the sapphire-crystal case back reveals sidereal time, a sky chart, and both the phases and orbit of the moon.
The dial is a work of art in its own right, crafted in black enamel using the champlevé and cloisonné techniques on an 18K gold dial plate, with gold applied Roman numerals lending a classical sensibility. The 44mm white gold case stands 17.35mm tall and offers humidity and dust protection. Note that the case is not water resistant.
Completing the piece is a shiny black alligator strap with square scales, hand-stitched for a refined finish, and secured by a hand-engraved fold-over clasp that echoes the meticulous attention to detail found throughout the watch.
