Born from the partnership between Richard Mille and the McLaren Formula 1 team, the RM 50-03 houses the Caliber RM50-03 — a manual-winding tourbillon chronograph movement featuring 55 jewels and a 70-hour power reserve. The 50 mm case combines a Carbon TPT body with platinum elements, while a sapphire crystal offers an unobstructed view of the skeletonized architecture within.
The Carbon TPT bezel frames a dial that is entirely open to reveal the one-minute tourbillon alongside the split-seconds chronograph mechanism. Functional readouts extend beyond timekeeping to include a 30-minute totalizer, torque indicator, power reserve display, and function indicators — a full suite of mechanical status information drawn directly from the movement. A black rubber strap closes with a titanium folding buckle.
The Richard Mille Caliber RM50-03 drives an impressive set of complications: tourbillon, split-seconds chronograph, 30-minute totalizer, hours, minutes, power reserve, torque, and function indicators all coexist within this single movement. This example comes complete with the original Richard Mille presentation box and papers.
