Measuring 54.88 x 49.48 mm, the asymmetric tonneau-shaped case of the RM 70-01 is constructed from Carbon TPT — a material chosen for its high strength — and features a matching Carbon TPT bezel and folding clasp. The exhibition sapphire caseback and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal allow full visibility of the movement from every angle, while a screw-locked crown with torque limiter secures the crown against accidental movement.
At the heart of the watch sits the Richard Mille Calibre RM70-01, a manual-winding tourbillon delivering approximately 70 hours of power reserve, with a dedicated power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock. The fully skeletonized dial reveals the tourbillon architecture in its entirety and incorporates a mechanical odometer complication at 12 o'clock capable of tracking cumulative distance up to 99,999 kilometers — a feature developed specifically with cyclists in mind. Yellow accents punctuate the open dial architecture throughout.
The watch is completed by a rubber strap and carries a water resistance rating of 50 meters. This example is offered pre-owned in excellent condition, with the reference RM 70-01 serving as a standout expression of Richard Mille's approach to complication-driven, sport-oriented watchmaking.
