Crafted in Yellow Rolesor — Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold — the 36 mm round case of this Datejust features a diamond-set bezel, a screw-down winding crown with Twinlock double waterproofness, and a solid case back. The Oyster architecture uses a monobloc middle case, and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal carries a Cyclops lens positioned over the date window. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The bright black dial is set with diamonds mounted in 18 kt gold settings, creating a richly decorated face against which the centre hour, minute, and seconds hands remain legible. An instantaneous date display with rapid setting and stop-seconds functionality round out the dial's practical features.
