Housed in a 31 mm round case crafted from White Rolesor — Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and white gold — this Datejust 31 features a monobloc middle case, solid screw-down case back, and a screw-down winding crown with Twinlock double waterproofness. The domed bezel is set with diamonds, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date window completes the case. Water resistance extends to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The dark grey dial is itself set with diamonds, with Roman numerals including a large VI set with 11 diamonds adding further detail. The Oyster bracelet is constructed from three-piece solid links in Oystersteel and secures via a folding Oysterclasp fitted with an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link.
Powering the watch is the Calibre 2236, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement from Manufacture Rolex with a precision rating of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The oscillator features a Syloxi hairspring in silicon with patented geometry and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, while bidirectional self-winding is handled via a Perpetual rotor. Functions include centre hour, minute, and seconds hands, instantaneous date with rapid setting, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. The movement is COSC certified.
