At 31 mm, this Datejust 31 is built around a round Oyster case crafted from Everose Rolesor — Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and Everose gold. The monobloc middle case is sealed by a solid case back and a screw-down winding crown featuring the Twinlock double waterproofness system, delivering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date sits above the slate dial, while the bezel is set with diamonds.
The slate dial features index stick hour markers and runs on the Calibre 2236, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement from Manufacture Rolex. The oscillator uses a Syloxi silicon hairspring with patented geometry and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, achieving a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Bidirectional self-winding via the Perpetual rotor provides a power reserve of approximately 55 hours, with functions including centre hour, minute, and seconds hands, instantaneous date with rapid setting, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. The movement is COSC certified.
The watch is presented on a Jubilee bracelet constructed in five-piece links of Everose Rolesor, fastened by a concealed folding Crownclasp. Reference 278381RBR-0018 brings together the date complication, diamond detailing, and the warm tones of Everose gold in a 31 mm format suited to a variety of wrists.
