Housed in a 31 mm round case crafted from White Rolesor — Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and white gold — this Datejust 31 features a diamond-set bezel and a solid case back. The Oyster architecture incorporates a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back, and a screw-down winding crown with Twinlock double waterproofness, delivering water resistance to 100 metres. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal includes a Cyclops lens positioned over the date window for easy reading.
The dark grey dial is equipped with a Chromalight display, offering a highly legible read with long-lasting blue luminescence. The date function appears at a glance thanks to Rolex's instantaneous date mechanism with rapid setting, complemented by a stop-seconds feature for precise time adjustment. The Oyster bracelet is constructed from three-piece solid links in Oystersteel and fastens via a folding Oysterclasp with an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link.
Power comes from the Calibre 2236, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement manufactured by Rolex. It features a Syloxi silicon hairspring with patented geometry, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, and bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor. The movement delivers a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing and offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The calibre is COSC certified.
