Measuring 31 mm across, the Datejust 31 is built around a monobloc middle case in Yellow Rolesor — Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold — with a screw-down case back and a screw-down winding crown featuring the Twinlock double waterproofness system. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date sits above the domed bezel, and the watch is waterproof to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The silver dial carries Roman numeral hour markers set with diamonds, with the large VI further adorned by 11 diamonds. Powering the watch is Rolex Calibre 2236, a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement certified as a Superlative Chronometer to a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Its Syloxi silicon hairspring with patented geometry and Paraflex shock absorbers support a bidirectional Perpetual rotor and an approximate 55-hour power reserve.
The five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet is crafted in matching Yellow Rolesor and fastens with a concealed folding Crownclasp, completing the watch's harmonious two-material construction.
