Housed in a 36 mm Oystersteel case, the Datejust 116244 is built around the Oyster architecture: a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, and a screw-down Twinlock winding crown delivering waterproofness to 100 metres. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal tops the case, complete with a Cyclops lens positioned over the date window.
The blue dial is set with diamonds held in 18 kt gold settings, and the bezel continues that diamond theme. Driving the watch is the Calibre 3235, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement from Rolex with bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor. It offers a precision rating of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing, a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, and carries Superlative Chronometer certification — reflecting both COSC and Rolex's own post-casing standards. The oscillator features a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers.
The Oystersteel Jubilee bracelet rounds out the reference with its classic five-piece link construction and a folding Oysterclasp equipped with an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link for a precise, adjustable fit.
