The monobloc middle case is fitted with a solid screw-down case back and a screw-down Twinlock winding crown, offering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. A fluted bezel frames the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which features a Cyclops lens positioned over the date.
The silver dial is complemented by an 18 kt white gold President bracelet composed of semi-circular three-piece links and secured by a concealed folding Crownclasp. Together, the case and bracelet form a cohesive white gold composition that defines the Day-Date's enduring character.
Inside runs the Calibre 3255, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement manufactured by Rolex. It delivers a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing, an approximately 70-hour power reserve, and bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor. The oscillator incorporates a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers. Day and date are displayed instantaneously in separate apertures with secure rapid-setting, and stop-seconds enables exact time setting. The movement is COSC certified.
