Crafted in 18kt white gold, the 40mm Oyster case of this Cosmograph Daytona features a monobloc middle case, solid screw-down case back, and a screw-down Triplock winding crown rated waterproof to 100 metres. The fixed white gold bezel carries an engraved tachymetric scale, while a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial below.
The bright black and steel dial offers a Chromalight display with long-lasting blue luminescence for clear legibility. Chronograph functions are distributed across a centre seconds hand, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock, with a small seconds hand at 6 o'clock and stop-seconds for precise time setting.
Powering the watch is the self-winding mechanical Calibre 4131 manufacture Rolex, COSC certified and accurate to -2/+2 seconds per day after casing, with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers speak to the movement's technical construction.
