At 40mm, this Daytona is built around a monobloc middle case in 18k Everose gold, closed by a screw-down case back and fitted with a screw-down Triplock winding crown for waterproofness to 100 metres. The black monobloc Cerachrom ceramic bezel carries a moulded tachymetric scale, while scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the Sundust dial beneath it. Chromalight display with long-lasting blue luminescence keeps the highly legible layout readable in low-light conditions.
Inside runs the Calibre 4131, a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding manufacture Rolex chronograph movement with bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor. A paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers contribute to the -2/+2 sec/day precision after casing, which meets Superlative Chronometer standards — combining COSC testing with Rolex certification post-casing. Power reserve stands at approximately 72 hours.
The Oysterflex band is constructed from flexible metal blades overmoulded with high-performance elastomer, secured by a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with the Rolex Glidelock extension system for an adjustable, secure fit on the wrist.
