Measuring 40 mm, the Oyster case is crafted from 18 kt yellow gold and features a monobloc middle case construction with a screw-down case back and screw-down winding crown employing Rolex's Triplock triple waterproofness system. A black monobloc Cerachrom bezel in ceramic carries a moulded tachymetric scale, while a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial beneath. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The dial presents an intense black and champagne-colour arrangement with a Chromalight display offering long-lasting blue luminescence for high legibility. At its heart beats Calibre 4131, a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding chronograph movement manufactured by Rolex. Functions include central hour and minute hands, a small seconds hand at 6 o'clock, a chronograph centre seconds hand, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock, along with stop seconds for precise time setting. The oscillator features a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, with bidirectional self-winding via a Perpetual rotor and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The movement is COSC certified to -2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
The watch is worn on an Oysterflex band, constructed from flexible metal blades overmoulded with high-performance elastomer and secured by a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with the Rolex Glidelock extension system.
