At the heart of this GMT-Master II sits a 40mm round Oystersteel case finished with a screw-down crown featuring Rolex's triplock triple waterproofness system and a screw-down case back, offering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. The bi-directional rotatable 24-hour graduated bezel carries a two-colour grey and black Cerachrom insert in ceramic with moulded numerals and graduations, while a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the black dial beneath it. Luminescent hands and luminescent dot and index hour markers ensure clear legibility across all conditions.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3285 automatic movement, delivering a second time zone with independent rapid-setting of the hour hand, an instantaneous date display, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. The movement provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The five-piece-link Oyster bracelet secures via a folding Oysterlock safety buckle fitted with an Easylink 5mm comfort extension link.
