Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date protects the dial, and the watch is waterproof to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The chocolate dial is itself set with diamonds, while hour markers are rendered in 18 kt gold settings — including a Roman IX in 18 kt gold set with 8 diamonds. The President bracelet, composed of semi-circular three-piece links in 18 kt Everose gold, fastens with a concealed folding Crownclasp for a seamless profile on the wrist.
Power comes from Rolex Caliber 2236, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement with bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The oscillator features a Syloxi hairspring in silicon with patented geometry and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, delivering a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. The movement holds Superlative Chronometer status, reflecting both COSC certification and Rolex's own certification after casing.
