Sized at 28 mm, the Oyster case is constructed from Yellow Rolesor, Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold. A domed bezel, screw-down case back, and screw-down Twinlock winding crown provide waterproofness to 100 metres / 330 feet, while scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date completes the case.
The silver dial is read through that magnifying lens, and the Oyster bracelet — sharing the same Yellow Rolesor composition — is secured by a folding Oysterclasp fitted with an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link for easy adjustment.
Inside runs Rolex Caliber 2236, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement with a Syloxi silicon hairspring of patented geometry, Paraflex shock absorbers, bidirectional winding via the Perpetual rotor, and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The movement is a Superlative Chronometer, meeting both COSC standards and Rolex's own post-casing certification of -2/+2 seconds per day.
