Measuring 28mm across, the Lady-Datejust 279173-0004 is built around an Oyster case in Yellow Rolesor, Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold. The monobloc middle case is sealed by a solid case back and a screw-down winding crown with Twinlock double waterproofness, delivering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date completes the case.
The silver dial is set with diamonds in 18 kt gold settings, and the Roman IX numeral is rendered in 18 kt gold and set with 8 diamonds. The Oyster bracelet, also in Yellow Rolesor, is composed of three-piece solid links and closes with a folding Oysterclasp featuring an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link.
Power comes from the Calibre 2236, a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement from Manufacture Rolex. It features a Syloxi silicon hairspring with patented geometry, Paraflex shock absorbers, bidirectional winding via a Perpetual rotor, approximately 55 hours of power reserve, and a precision rating of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. The movement carries Superlative Chronometer certification, reflecting both COSC and Rolex's own post-casing standards.
