At 28 mm, the Lady-Datejust reference 279383RBR-0008 is built around an Oyster case crafted in Yellow Rolesor, Rolex's combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold, accented by a bezel set entirely with diamonds. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal features a Cyclops lens above the date window, while the screw-down winding crown employs a Twinlock double waterproofness system for water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. A monobloc middle case and screw-down case back complete the Oyster architecture.
The silver dial is itself set with diamonds held in 18 kt gold settings, lending depth and brilliance to the face. Hour, minute, and seconds hands are joined by an instantaneous date display with rapid setting, and stop-seconds functionality allows for precise time adjustment.
