The Twinlock double waterproofness system on the crown works in concert with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal fitted with a Cyclops lens over the date, while the solid case back and 100-metre water resistance round out a robust and refined package.
The white dial is equipped with a Chromalight display offering long-lasting blue luminescence, and the layout puts the full complexity of the Sky-Dweller's functions into clear, legible order: centre hour, minute, and seconds hands, a 24-hour display on an off-centre disc for a second time zone, an instantaneous annual calendar at 3 o'clock with rapid date setting, and month indication through 12 apertures around the dial's circumference. Powering everything is the Calibre 9002 — a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement with dual time zones and annual calendar functionality, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, approximately 72 hours of power reserve, and COSC certification with a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
